| Actually it came from Senegal. What people call Jollof rice was originally Wolof Rice, where Wolof is the name of one of the major tribes in Senegal. So if anyone has any right to argue it's the Senegalese. Case closed. |

f&%k ALL NIAJAS it actually came from the most peaceful country in west africa (GHANA) it is not true jolof rice came from nigera, if jolof rice came from nigera why are they still eating GARI AND HOT WATER (EBA) huh answer me.
IF NIGERAS INVENTED JOLOF RICE EVERY ONE WOULD BE DEAD BY NOW, THINK PEOPLE WHAT IS MOST POPULAR FOOD IN NIGERA EVERY ONE WILL SAY EBA WHY NOT JOLOF RICE.

Ashantis do not hate Nigerians. They are alike in many ways and therefore I am inclined to agree that it is rather their similiarities that causes conflict between them.
There is a deep unconcious love between them.

|
|
"Jollof" rice is named from the kingdom or empire of Jolof (Diolof in French) in Senegal. It was in the Senegal River Valley and south of there. Parts of Jolof split off to become the kingdoms of Waalo, Biffeche, Cayor, Bethio, Fouta and Baol. The southern parts had rice-growing regions and so did the Senegal River.
The present King of Jolof is still alive at the town of Daara Diolof near Louga in northern Senegal. |
