Joshua Clottey vs Miguel Cotto. 1035 EST ON HBO OR P2P.

Postby Lion_O_Judah » Thu Jun 11, 2009 2:18 pm

Our favorite son Joshua Nyame Clottey takes on Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico Sat June 13th at Madison Square garden, all support for the young breda, he has followed great champions the likes of DK Poison, the legend Azuma Nelson, Nana Yaw Konadu, and Ike Bazooka Quartey.

I predict 9th round TKO by our own Joshua Clottey.

He's skillful, but his chin is a suspect. While Clotteys defense is solid with a good chin, I'm predictin Joshuas hard body shots will end this bout. Isha Allah.

I think so! Cuz he hasn't had any problems with it, since it cost him the fight against Antonio Margarito.

He once said he was going to Ghana to fix it with some Herbs. Did he EVER do Surgery to FIX it?

That is my main worry for this Fight.

Even though Josh is always stronger in the second half of the fight he must maintain the pressure on Cotto right from the word go else he will be forced to go in for a knock out in the latter rounds when Cotto gets tired. Failure to do this could tilt the decision in Cotto's favour through points victory. The problem for Cotto is whether he can absorb the same way he dishes out the punishment to opponents. In Josh he's gonna fight sm1 who's guard is 'pretty solid' and is a tough cookie. This will be a fascinating match up like Hagler v Hearns.

Thanks boss. I know it's a credit crunch, but the Butter Pecan Ricans will be in the house so it will be nice to see some Ghanaians in MSG.

It will be a blood fest with two fighters who love to come forward. One loves to brawl and the other loves to pick his spots.

I have to watch this fight.

I love Puerto Ricans; their food, their girls, their women, and oh did I say that already, their girls.
PS. Their girls also love Kofipapa :D :D :D

Saa'a? Did they meet Kofi...? Or the "usual" lie... ma broda's moda's sista's fada's caasin's fren's son... ? Right? Kooooooofi-papa!!! I sense that your allegiance (in this pugilists match-up) is tilting towards the Riqua side...huh? Well, Say 'hi' to Kofi maame for me...
